Skills training in a group setting
Structured and evidence-based, focused on building practical tools for daily life.
The leading Minnesota DBT and trauma clinic for the past 20 years, our outpatient dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and trauma program groups are designed to give you skills to help you better manage emotions, navigate stress, improve relationships, and feel more in control of daily life.
We use evidence-based practices working with adolescents and adults experiencing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, emotion dysregulation, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, impulsivity, and substance use.
Our programs help individuals develop practical skills for managing emotions, tolerating distress, and responding more effectively to life’s challenges.
Our adolescent programs are for ages 12-18, with specialized teachings based on their age group.
Your treatment plan should fit you, not the other way around.
Our clinicians help determine the program, level of support, and treatment approach that best matches your needs and goals. The length of programming varies based on your progress and situation, rather than a fixed timeline.
In most cases, you can also continue working with your current individual therapist while participating in programming at MHS.
